Play at home

Alex loved being so high!
Back on again

Jenna's turn

Grandpa sure had his arms full as Jenna and Alex took turns jumping to him from the Trampoline. Bubba helped keep track of the kids as we played outside in the glorious fall weather.

Grandma looked on making sure everyone was safe.

Hannah discovered the slide and kept climbing up and sliding down on her belly.

Here she is going up up up!

Jenna is ready to go out on the town. Thinking that Mommy's boots would make her a "big girl" she decided to try them on. She soon found, as mommy already knows, these boots aren't the easiest things to walk in, but boy is she stylish.

Grandma and Grandpa Arnold spent quite a bit of time with the Grandkids this last trip. It was fun to have the Prices come up and play.

Learning to Walk

Watch out world here I come!!!

Hannah is currently working really hard at walking. I have tried to discourage this as much as possible for two reasons: ONE, Brent does not want to miss out on it. TWO, I can hardly keep up with her now. My only complaint in all of this is that she mainly performs for Grandpa and no one else. NOT FAIR!!!!

Oh wait!!!That's not one of ours!!
This is Hannah very emphatically explaining to me about the monkeys jumping in the trees.
These are two little monkeys climbing on the railings.

A couple of weeks ago, on October 2nd, Ashlee Tanner and I decided to be somewhat crazy and take our four children to the zoo. Although Ashlee and I might have been a little disappointed (the zoo just ain't what it used to be), the kids definitely were not. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather for viewing animals.
OK so I totally reversed the order of the pictures. SORRY

Playing with Pictures

Hannah Jenna
Kara
Tyler

Ok, so I started playing around with fixing pictures. I don't have a fancy Photoshop or anything, but I thought these pictures looked cool. I took my family pictures and cropped them and turned them into black and whites.

Firestation Fieldtrip

Jenna's class inside the ambulance.
Here they are in the Firetruck.

As I was preparing to leave for my conference at Snowbird, I was talking with Jenna about her upcoming fieldtip and how sad I was that I couldn't go with her. She was ok with that, but she kept telling me that she wasn't sure if she should go. She told me she didn't want to wear the "lifejacket". Confused, I kept telling her that she didn't have to wear her lifejacket to go to the firestation. I thought maybe she was worried they would spray the water hose or something else.

I was talking with Ashlee Tanner, who so willingly agreed to take and chaperone Jenna, when she told me some of their activities, one of which was wearing the fireman's Jacket. Then it hit me---that was the "lifejacket". So I told Jenna that she coculd still go on the field trip and she did not have to wear the Fireman's Jacket. My usually brave enthusiast was not so brave at this particular fieldtrip and I can't help but wonder if it has something to do with the fact that I really encourage her to wear her seatbelt so that she or mommy won't have to go to jail.

Well, thanks to Ashlee, here are a couple of pictures of Jenna on her first fieldtrip. And many thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for getting her ready for school and loving her and Hannah while I was away.

Snowbird, UTAH

Me and the girls on the edge of the earth
Grandpa and Grandma
Jenna overlooking the scenery-I was a little nervous that she had no fear of being near the edge.
Jenna and Mom (me)

This past week, I had the opportunity to attend a conference on Economics and the Environment at "The Cliff" Lodge at Snowbird ski resort. I learned alot and had a great deal of fun, however, the highlight of my trip was the last day when Mom and Dad brought Jenna and Hannah up to see me. We took the tram up to the top of the mountain and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Apparently Grandma had taught Jenna about Coniferous and Deciduous trees and the differences between them because Jenna kept telling me that the "ciduous" trees were "beautiful" and "gorgeous." She wasn't kidding. Here are a few pictures.

Summer Fun in September???

Last week on September 27th, Ashlee Tanner and I decided that it was warm enough to have one last day of summer. The girls had a blast playing in 85 + degree weather. The slip n' slide was great fun this summer and did not disappoint on this day.

Birthday Dress

Princess Hannah on her throne!

Grandma Arnold did it again by finding these beautiful limited edition dresses. Southern stores always seem to have the cutest dresses.

Let there be CAKE!!!

Singing "Happy Birthday
Jenna and Alex wanted a candle too.

I really thought Hannah would enjoy the cupcakes more than she did. It wasn't until Sunday evening that I realized what the problem was. These cupcakes, although made with love, did not have the most important ingredient. CHOCOLATE!!!! On Sunday, a friend who knows of my addiction brought me a piece of Triple Chocolate Cake. Hannah devoured as much as I would give her. So next year, I will know: Chocolate is the only way to go
