Riding the Rhino

Look at these monkeys!!

Aunt Amy and her boys came down to enjoy the spring weather in Utah for their Spring Break. Unfortunately Utah did not decide to cooperate. We decided not to let that get us down and we headed for the Zoo anyway. 38 degrees isn't so bad. HAHAHAHAHAHA

As the weather improves, one of our favorite things to do is take Sunday Walks after church. We take a football to toss as we walk up and down the neighborhood streets, talking with friends and spending quality time together. For some reason, these walks always end in tears and pouting. Here's a few shots of our "family time."

Hannah has just recently started "jumping". She tries so hard to get off of the ground. What a sweetheart!!

Jenna's first talk in primary

A couple of weeks ago, Jenna was very excited to inform me that she was giving a talk on March 1st. She was giving a talk on families. So she talked about Adam and Eve, Jesus, Nephi, and her family and that Heavenly Father's plan was so that we could all be born to families.

I didn't think she would be nervous at all, seeing as how she bore her testimony in SACRAMENT MEETING the first Sunday of January. She begged me to take her up. I asked her what a testimony was and she said, "its when you say you love Jesus and your mom and dad." I told her she could do it when she was older. She decided to go to Kara instead and before I knew it, Kara was leading her up to the pulpit. I could barely see the top of her head when she bore her testimony of her love of Jesus and her family.

Talk time was different. We had a hitch. Brent had rehearsed the talk with her because I had to teach primary that day. Hannah decided to have a "freak-out" and Brent had to take her home, so I had to help Jenna. My primary class sat in the back and I had to do my best to help her with her talk. She got a little nervous, but did a great job.

Hannah and Max

Go Figure. Hannah will rarely fall asleep when I hold her and here she is with Uncle Max, her little pillow.

Teeth obsession

I took Jenna to the dentist in January and they cleaned and checked her teeth. Since then, she is constantly asking me when she can go back. She loves the dentist!!! Of course so far she has no cavities. That may change. She also learned about teeth in Pre-school. Miss Shaneen gave all of the kids a tooth-timer and they learned about how to properly take care of your teeth.

Tired out

These are the various sleeping positions we found Jenna in during the weekend that cousins were here. She and Derrick played so hard she was tuckered out.

Day with Dad

Hugs and kisses and everything is good.
Wrestle mania. Notice who is winning. That is generally what happens in this house.

and toenails too. He does a better job than mom.

Jenna's fingernails

Sometimes on Fridays, due to my work schedule, Brent has the opportunity to stay home and be with the girls. On this Friday, I came home and Jenna said she had the "best" day with dad. He painted her fingernails, played hide-and-seek, and all kinds of fun activities. What a great DAD!!!! I have to thank my lucky stars for marrying Brent. One of the most attractive qualities I saw in him when we were dating was that he was a fabulous father. He is a hands on Dad who plays with the kids and teaches them so many things: like jumping off of my mantel (ok maybe thats not so great, but my kids are not afraid of falling :-) ); or wrestling each other; or riding bikes.
